I'd like to get AT&T Long distance service, but I'm wondering if I should just get VOIP. If so, is AT&T's CallVantage reliable enough? What if my internet connection goes down? Can I still make calls without internet service? I'm kind of new at this stuff, so bear with me.

I would definitely recommend using CallVantage. It's just as reliable and a lot cheaper. There are different service plans available for different needs; so look into what is best for you.

Yeah, I make a lot of long distance calls. So with the plan I am signed up for, I get unlimited local and long distance calls in the US. Nice huh? Grin

Really? That's awesome. What about international calls?
